Laurence’s address in the 1867 Boston Pilot ad was 14 Albany Street, but I can only find Albany Avenue, which ran from the Railroad tunnel northwest to the city line. And 14 Albany should have been close to the tunnel, Main St, and Terry Court.
A search of The Hartford Courant archives did not yield any results for 14 Albany Avenue in 1867 or 1868. In 1862, someone was selected for the draft. In 1877, the address was listed as having two rentals available, so I suspect Laurence rented here, but am still looking in city directories for anyone else living at 14 Albany. None of the usual suspects like other CARRRIGANs have appeared.
Still need to know where he is buried, and if there is a stone.
According to Hartford Death Registrations, he died 6 October 1881 at the Hartford Hospital, but no hospital records exist. FHL Film 3338 of Hartford Cemetery Inscriptions has been ordered.
