But will he present a link to the Roman Catholic parish of
Lismore in County Waterford?
I found his death record through Missouri Digital Heritage. I’m disappointed with the lack of birth
information on it [2].
I’ll keep looking. It doesn’t really matter if the ‘Missouri
Cornelius’ was born in County Waterford if he is not the same individual as the
‘Boston Cornelius.’
Links need to be established between the ‘Missouri
Cornelius’ and the ‘Boston Cornelius’ -- in order to prove (or disprove) they
are the same individual.
So far, all I’ve got linking the two Corneliuses are their
sons – the two John Scanlons.
According to the 1900 U. S. census, the ‘Missouri John’ was born
about August 1868 in Massachusetts
[3].
The ‘Boston John’ was born on 2 August 1868 [4].
